Brockway is 2nd Seed in District IX Playoffs

Brockway(with an overall record of 14-3) is placed as second seed for the District IX Playoffs. First seed is Karns City, with Smethport and Coudersport placing 3rd and 4th seed respectively. Brockway plays at Brockway Thursday 10/29 against either ECC or Brookville.

Playoff Bound

With the Rovers now 13-2 overall and 10-2 in the North, they are headed to districts for sure. They are tied for the number one spot in the North with Coudersport currently. There are three more games left in regular season, Ridgway, Smethport, and DCC.

Brockway Undefeated at Home!

The Boys Varsity played Smethport at home on Saturday. The Rovers came away with a 4-0 shut-out. Then on Wednesday the boys played Brookville for the second time in the season. The first game was 5-3 away. This time it was a home game. Brookville started with the opening goal. Close to halftime, Brockway scored one to have it 1-1 at the half. After about 10 minutes back on out, Brookville scored two goals. Soon responding, Mike Britton carried it past the Brookville defense to put one away in the bottom left. A little over a minute later, Brookville scored again bringing the score to 2-4. Within the last 15 minutes, Mike Britton got three more goals. One with barely a minute left, winning the game. The final score was 5-4 with Brockway taking away another win. They now have 27 home goals, and only 5 goals against at home. Their record is 8-2.

A Rough Start to the Week

The boys played Port Allegany on Monday away. The rovers had a poor preformance in the first half, giving up 3 goals in the first 12 minutes of the game. The score at the half was 4-1. After the half, rovers got back in the game bringing the score up to 4-4. Eventually Port got one more goal on the rovers making the final score 5-4. After the lose, they played Ridgway on wednesday. The score against Ridgway was 8-1, with Brockway out-shooting Ridgway significantly. Boys Varsity record is now 6-2, triple last years winning record of 2-15-1.

Three Game Winning Streak

The Boys Varsity team win all three of they're games in one week. First they beat Kane away with a score of 6-3. Then at home they beat Johnsonburg 4-0. On Thursday they beat Kane again with another home shut-out scoring 5-0. Phil Esposito and Mike Britton both had hatricks in this week.


Undefeated Teams Fight for a Win

Coudersport and Brockway were both undefeated before their game on the 10th. Coudersport had previously beat Smethport 7-2 and Brockway previously beat Brookville 5-2. The score was 0-0 at the half, with Brockway goalkeeper Ryan Hultman making many amazing saves. During the second half, a confusing free kick call ended with a corner kick that was finished by Alex Renn of Coudersport. It remained the only goal in the second half. The final score was 1-0 with Coudersport winning.


Girls Attempting to Break Loosing Streak

After loosing five games in a row. The girls team kept it close with DCC with the score of 2-1. Then against Keystone they were down 5-0 and brought it back to 5-4 at the end. All of the goals in the Keystone game were by Mandy Lindemuth. They hope to beat DCC on Monday and stop their loosing streak.

Brockway Win Again.

Brockway Boys Varsity beat Brookville 5-2 away on Tuesday. Freshmen Philip Esposito and Zachary Puhala each had two goals and senior captain Mike Britton scored off a free kick.


Girls Varsity Keep It Close With Port

Girls Varsity


The Girls team played Port Allegany on Saturday. The final score was 4-3, Port taking the win. Amanda Lindemuth had two goals and Victoria Holben had one. Aleshia Weible, Jordan Frederick, and Amanda Lindemuth had the assists.


Rovers beat ECC 1-0

Boys Varsity


Brockway started off the season with a 1-0 win against ECC. Phil Esposito had the goal with an assist by Zach Puhala early in the game. Brockway's defense held out the rest of the game for a shutout.


First Scrimmage

On Tuesday, August 25th the Boys Varsity team played Redbank in a scrimmage. The final score was 5-3. Brockway goals were scored by Phil Esposito, Ryan Hills, and Malachi Hanold.

Varsity Soccer Camp

Boys Varsity Soccer Camp starts on August 17th from 5-8pm. Boys practice is from 9am till noon.

Girls Varsity Soccer Camp starts on August 17th from 9am till noon. Girls practice is from 5-8pm.
